1. Tudor

If you are looking for a watch brand similar to Rolex, one of the most similar brands to look at is Tudor. Tudor is, in fact, a sister company to Rolex, which explains the close resemblances in watch design and craftsmanship behind them.

Tudor is a popular, mainstream, and respected watch brand. Although it may not be as well known or recognized as much as Rolex, their design, detailing, and internal moving parts are pretty much the same, without a question. In addition to that, the price of a Tudor watch is a fraction of the price of a Rolex.

To see how similar these two watch brands are, compare the Tudor Black Bay and the Rolex Submariner. Comparing these two watch models, it is clear to see that both Tudor and Rolex have extremely similar designs and crafts. And keep in mind, this is only one watch model that Tudor as that is similar to Rolex.

Tudor has the “Royal Date”, which is similar to the Rolex “Datejust”. They also have the “Tudor Black Bay Chrono”, which has a similar design and look to the Rolex “Daytona”. Also, Tudor has a “Black Bay GMT Pepsi Bezel”, which is just like the Rolex “GMT Master II”. These are just a few examples that show how similar Tudor is to Rolex.

If you want to see how Tudor stacks up against other luxury watch brands, other than just Rolex, I have written the article just for you. I have composed an in-depth article comparing the price of 15 different popular luxury watch brands on the second-hand market. Click here to view the post.

Personally, I am a big fan of Tudor because they give watch enthusiasts a chance to have a cheaper Rolex alternative. So if you’re looking to get a watch extremely similar to Rolex, cheaper than Rolex, but is also well respected among watch enthusiasts and the general public, Tudor would be the best and most logical option to choose.

2. Omega

Omega is one of Rolex’s biggest rivals and when it comes down to some of their timepieces, they have similar watches that compete with Rolex. While the design may be different from the Rolex brand, the craftsmanship and detail put behind Omega watches rivals some of the best watch brands in the world.

For example, one of Omega’s most popular and impressive watches is the “Speedmaster” collection, and its craftsmanship and design rivals the iconic Rolex Daytona. Another example that shows the similarities between Rolex and Omega would be the Omega “Seamaster” and the Rolex “Submariner”. Both watch models are staple dive watches for each brand, and the craftsmanship, durability, and design are similar, to say the least.

If you are looking to find timepieces that are similar to Rolex, but are cheaper, well-crafted, and just as mainstream as them, I could not recommend Omega enough.

3. Panerai

Panerai is one of the most popular and well-known watch brands in the world. The Italian watch brand is known for its simple watch design for its military dive watches.

Panerai and Rolex have a long history because in the 1930s and beyond, Panerai has worked with Rolex to create their timepiece cases, which explains some of the similarities between the two brands. Although the overall design of both Rolex and Panerai are different, the materials and craftsmanship put behind each brand are extraordinary.

Two of Panerai’s most popular watches are the Radiomir and the Luminor. I personally have the Luminor Chrono, and it’s simply one of the best watches I have ever used.

The Panerai Luminor Chrono Daylight is one of my favorite watches ever and I recommended the watch on the “My Top Watch Picks” page. To check out my resource page for my luxury watch recommendations, click here.

Oris has some similarities to Rolex the most when it comes down to their dive watches. Oris is a Swiss watch brand, and one of their most popular models is the “Aquis”, which heavily resembles a Rolex dive watch.

In addition, Oris has some other underrated watch models that have a similar style and look to Rolex. Recently, they came out with a new limited edition chronograph watch called the “Holstein”, which looks similar to a Rolex “Daytona”. Oris is a great, underappreciated, and reliable watch brand that has some watches similar to Rolex.

5. Citizen

If you want to get a watch similar to Rolex without completely breaking the bank, it’s a great idea to look toward Japanese watch brands. More specifically, Citizen is one of Rolex’s biggest rivals. Although they are not as well known as Rolex, their high-quality watches come at a much lower rate.

Citizen is an innovative watch brand: they have come up with something called “Eco-Drive”, where it converts any type of light to power the watch. Watches with Eco-Drive can run for months.

In addition to this new technology, Citizen also has timepieces that are similar to Rolex. For instance, their “Promaster” series has similar quirks to the Rolex “Submariner” or “Yacht-Master”. This is just one of many many examples that show the similarities between Rolex and Citizen.

Because of Citizen’s innovative technology and design similar to Rolex, they are a fantastic brand to consider that is affordable and reliable.

6. Orient

If you’re a fan of Rolex’s dive watches, Orient is a great, affordable, and fantastic Japanese watch brand that is similar timepieces to Rolex in some aspects. The design of their popular dive watch models like the “Kamatsu” and the “MakoII” resembles some of Rolex’s most iconic dive watches.

While the overall craftsmanship and materials in an Orient watch are significantly cheaper and don’t really compete with the Rolex brand, the look and design of Orient dive watches are very similar.

One of the most popular Orient models is the “Mako II”, which has the same look as a Rolex Submariner or GMT Master II. Orient was definitely inspired by Rolex to create the “Mako II” model.

The best part about Orient is its affordable price point. They are a mere fraction of the price of Rolex, but yet they are simultaneously a respected and cheap alternative watch brand. So, if you want to get a cheap and low-price watch that has the rembelences of a Rolex dive watch, Orient is one of the best brands to go to.

7. Hamilton

Nowadays, it is difficult to find a high-quality swiss luxury watch brand at an affordable price, but Hamilton is one of the few exceptions. The build quality behind Hamilton watches is exquisite, Hamilton watches are durable, and they have crafted timepieces that resemble some of Rolex’s most iconic timepieces.

One of Hamilton’s most impressive watches is the Hamilton “Jazzmaster Daydate”, which has a similar look and design to the Rolex “Cellini”. Another Hamilton watch that is similar to Rolex is the Hamilton “Intra-Matic Chronograph”, which has the same design as the Rolex “Daytona”.

I love Hamilton because they’re a relatively affordable watch brand that is also known for its high quality and durability.

If you are looking for a cheaper, but high-quality Swiss watch brand that has timepieces similar to Rolex, Hamilton is the brand to look at.

8. Seiko

Another high-quality Japanese watch brand that has similar watch models to Rolex is Seiko. The Seiko brand has a wide and versatile range of timepieces that are stylish, yet affordable and reliable. While they may not be as well known as Rolex, they are a great watch brand to look to if you’re looking for watches similar to Rolex.

Since Seiko has a wide range of luxury watches, they have several watch models similar to Rolex. One of the Seiko watch models that are similar to Rolex is the “Presage Cocktail”, which has a similar design to the Rolex “Datejust”. Similarly, their “5 Men’s Automatic” looks like the Rolex “Oyster Perpetual” (one of Rolex’s iconic timepieces).

I am a huge fan of Seiko because they offer a wide range of timepieces. They are really brands that can keep you covered for any situation: from sports watches, dive watches, dress watches, and everyday watches, they have what you need.

9. Tissot

Similar to Hamilton, Tissot is an excellent Swiss watch brand that produces a wide variety of timepieces for any occasion. The build quality of Tissot, especially recently, is exceptional, to say the least, and some of their watches have the same look as Rolex.

A Tissot watch that I found, the Tissot “Seastar”, has a similar design to the Rolex “Submariner”. Another timepiece, the Tissot “Heritage 1973”, has a colorway that looks exactly like the Rolex “Daytona Panda”. Lastly, the Tissot “Gentleman” has the same looks as a Rolex “Datejust”.

Just like the other brands mentioned, these are just a few examples of how Tissot has similar designs and looks as Rolex.

If you want a more affordable Swiss watch like Rolex that is also well-known around the world, Tissot is an excellent option to look to.

My Final Thoughts

Rolex is the leading luxury watch brand in terms of popularity and brand awareness, but they are expensive and looking for an alternative that looks like Rolex can be the best option for the majority of people. Throughout the post, there is a common theme where these amazing watch brands have taken inspiration from Rolex to implement into their own watches, which gives people a more affordable way to wear a watch similar to Rolex.

If you were to come up to me and ask me what watch brands to look for if you want a watch that looks like Rolex, I would recommend these exact same watch brands and watch models.
