Ever since I got my Breitling Wings watch, I have been extremely happy with it, it’s one of my favorite watches to wear, and I am extremely grateful that I have it on hand to review just for you.

One of the first features that make the Breitling Wings watch stand out is its high-quality bracelet, with my specific version having two-tone stainless steel and gold links. I find the watch bracelet to be very eye-catching, and it’s in fact one of the first things my eyes are drawn to when I look at this watch because of the shiny precious metals.
On top of that, I also find the watch bracelet to be very comfortable on my wrist when I wear it out. At first, when I got the watch, I thought it would be uncomfortable wearing since its metal, but I realized that it’s just as comfortable as some plush leather straps I have on my other timepieces.
However, watch bracelets and watch straps are two completely different things, and those getting into the watch hobby and even some seasoned watch enthusiasts often get them confused. The second feature that came to my attention is its great case diameter and case thickness. This Wings watch has a 38-millimeter case diameter and an 11.5-millimeter case thickness. For me, this is a perfect size that doesn’t make the watch overwhelmingly huge on my wrist since my wrists are on the smaller and slimmer end. Since the case diameter and thickness are at this size, I find it super easy to wear for plenty of events and gatherings.
Another feature on the watch that immediately stands out to me is its gorgeously designed dial. My watch model has a beautiful grey metal dial with gold accenting and a date display. The dial, in my honest opinion, is one of the most eye-grabbing aspects of the timepiece because of its intricate detailing and stylish design. On top of that, I find the date display to be pretty useful because I can sometimes be forgetful about what the date is.
Personally, I think that the water-resistance on this watch is pretty good since it comes in at around 100 meters. However, I wouldn’t think about bringing this watch into the water because I don’t want to run the risk of ruining it since it costs a lot of money.
Even though the watch is technically suitable for shallow swimming or snorkeling, I just want to keep the watch in the best condition possible for as long as possible, so not wearing it for swimming would be best to keep it in the best condition.
Next, one of my favorite parts about this Breitling Wings watch is its automatic movement. This timepiece is equipped with an in-house ETA automatic movement, which provides a clean sweep of the second’s hand and really shows how much passion and care Breitling puts behind their watches.
Also, I am fond of the count-up bezel on the Breitling Wings. Its count-up bezel goes from 0-60 with special gold markings every 1/4 of an hour and is used to measure time remaining, which I find useful for timing certain events like doing my laundry or using it for cooking. The count-up bezel on the watch is often underappreciated, but I think it’s one of the more notable features on the watch.
Lastly, I am a really big fan of the single-fold clasp and the sapphire watch crystal. The single-fold clasp is super easy to take off and put on, which is why I love it so much. It’s much easier to use than loop buckles and double-fold clasps in my opinion.
And for the sapphire watch crystal (which is a very overlooked part of the watch), it provides a very clear view of the beautiful dial and is pretty durable. After wearing the watch for a while, I found that the crystal is durable and doesn’t damage easily, which is exactly what I’m looking for in every single timepiece I purchase. If the crystal breaks easily, then there’s no way to protect the dial or movement, but this crystal gets the job done in my opinion.
Problems I’ve Had With The Breitling Wings Watch
While the Breitlings Wings watch has plenty of amazing features that make it a fantastic timepiece, I’ve had some slight problems with the watch after wearing it for a while.
One of the most prevalent problems with this watch is that the watch bracelet is difficult to adjust. Since the watch band is a bracelet and not a leather strap, the only way to make the bracelet bigger or smaller is to add or take away metal links, which is extremely tedious.
I figured this out first-hand when I got the watch for the first time. When I first got the watch, the watch bracelet was too small on me and I had a hard time closing the single-fold clasp. I had to go to a professional watch specialist to add an additional metal link to the bracelet. On top of that, I had to pay extra because I didn’t have the additional metal link myself and they had to buy one from a seller.
With leather straps, they usually come with a loophole buckle, which makes it easy and free to adjust the watch band to your liking, but it’s not the same with watch bracelets. I found that the process of adding or taking away metal links is time-consuming, boring, and costly, which makes it the first con about the watch that came to my mind.
The second con I found about the Breitling Wings watch is that it easily incurs scratches and abrasions on the case and bracelet.
I figured this out in the first couple of weeks of wearing my Breitling Wings watch. After just a couple of days of wearing the watch, I already found hairline scratches and very minor abrasions throughout the watch bracelet, which surprised me. scratches don’t really bother me personally, but I know plenty of watch enthusiasts and collectors who absolutely hate scratches on their timepieces, which is why I included it as a con.
As of right now, if you put my watch under a bright lamp, you can see plenty of little scratches throughout the timepiece.

Lastly, the final issue that I’ve had with this watch is that it has a very weak lume. The watch hands and several markings on the dials are equipped with lume, but I found they are pretty weak for the most part. When I was running a test for lume and put this watch in my dark closet, its fully charged lume only lasted for a little over an hour, which is substantially less than other timepieces that have lume.
Nonetheless, these are the only three cons I found about the watch. After looking at the watch for hours, I really couldn’t find anything else about the watch that would mark it as a con. Everything else about this timepiece makes it a jaw-dropping, stylish, and reliable watch that I couldn’t recommend enough.

To me, this is an absolute bargain of deal for the extremely high-quality timepiece you get. You receive the brand recognition of one of the most well-known and reputable luxury watch brands in the world at a price that’s significantly lower than other brands.
In addition, the craftsmanship put behind this watch makes it worth it at its price. You get an in-house ETA automatic movement that provides a very clean sweep with the second’s hand paired with the high-end precious metals on the dial, case, and bracelet, which makes it an outstanding watch that you can add to your collection in my opinion.
I think this is a great deal especially for purchasing a model in pre-owned condition. After scouring through eBay, Chrono24, and other watch-selling websites, I found that Breitling Wings watches in pre-owned condition still look amazing and I found many watch models for a really good deal. This means that you can get an extremely high-quality timepiece that I bet will last for years at just a fraction of the price of other watches.
My Final Verdict
I couldn’t recommend the Breitling Wings watch enough. It’s one of my go-to luxury watches to wear on a day-to-day basis since it’s fashionable and well-designed, which has helped me grow and expand my passion for watches. It’s a high-quality timepiece that I absolutely love, and I think it would be a great addition to anyone’s watch collection.
